What came forty minutes after this photo, in a pipe a lot like this one (only smaller) was crazy. dangerous. unexpected. completely predictable. drew blood. absolutely unique in the realms of our experience. high velocity. no time to be afraid. sprained my thumb. destroyed my pants. more than a hundred metres sliding down an exceedingly steep, hundred-year-old concrete pipe with nothing, absolutely nothing, I could do to stop myself. I blew right by Dusty, who described it as the craziest thing he will ever see. And I came away from it relatively unscathed, thank goodness. It all happened directly underneath the Niagara Falls Parkway, with tourists still strolling around through the mist. I love you all. Goodnight. 2 comments - Leave a comment |
